Who We Are

At TucTucs, we believe great treats come from great care — care for pets, for the planet, and for the community we’re part of. From our small-batch facility in Brantford, Ontario, we handcraft freeze-dried treats with simple, honest ingredients and eco-friendly packaging, always guided by our mission to do better for pets and the world they live in.

Meet The Team

Meet the human (and pups!) who bring TucTucs to life, one small batch at a time.

  • RACHEL

    Owner & Founder

Animals — especially dogs — have always been at the center of my life, and TucTucs is my way of turning that passion into something bigger. With 10+ years in the pet industry, I’ve learned what truly makes tails wag. Beyond treats, I’ve spent the past three years raising service dogs with Autism Dog Services (ADS) — including Tucker, our company mascot and inspiration.

When I’m not in the treat factory, you’ll find me competing in dog sports or out hiking and swimming with my dogs. My pack is always by my side, helping test recipes and inspiring every decision we make. None of this would be possible without my husband, Paul, whose behind-the-scenes work — from production to trade shows — helps bring our vision of premium, sustainable pet treats to life.

  • TUCKER

    The Tuc Behind TucTucs

Tucker isn’t just the namesake of TucTucs — he’s the heart of everything we do. As the original “Tuc,” he inspires our mission to create treats that are healthy, sustainable, and truly loved by pets. Currently training to be a service dog with Autism Dog Services, Tucker will be evaluated this year in hopes of graduating to support an individual with autism.

When he’s not hard at work training, Tucker proudly represents TucTucs as our mascot. You’ll spot him at trade shows, popping up in social media cameos, and keeping morale high in the treat factory. With his joyful spirit and wagging tail, Tucker continues to spread smiles and remind us why this mission matters so much.

  • KYAH

    Head of Treat Security

Guarding every bag of TucTucs, Kyah makes sure our snacks stay safe and sound. Nothing gets past this four-legged security chief.

  • LILY

    Chief Taste Tester

Lily’s job is serious business: every recipe is “Lab tested” and approved by her to guarantee it’s not just tasty but truly tail-waggingly delicious.

  • EDDIE

    The Intern

Our newest team member! Eddie is best known for his trade show appearances — where he spends his days greeting fans and sampling plenty of treats himself.

The Treat Factory

Our Facility

Every TucTucs treat starts in our small-batch facility in Brantford, Ontario. Unlike large-scale operations, we craft in smaller runs so we can personally see every single piece that goes in and out of our freeze-dryers. Each ingredient is hand-chopped, giving us full control over quality and consistency while ensuring only the best pieces make it into your pet’s bag.

This hands-on approach allows us to maintain the highest standards of safety and nutrition while preserving the natural nutrients pets need. By keeping production small and intentional, we stay true to our values: focusing on quality, minimizing waste, and making sure every bag that leaves our facility is something we’d proudly feed to our own pets.

Where It All Begins

Our Sourcing

We believe the best treats start with the best ingredients. That’s why we partner with local, ethical farms whenever possible and carefully select prime cuts of meat — not cheap scraps. Every protein we choose is evaluated for the lowest fat content and highest nutritional value, so pets get the very best in every bite.

While we prioritize local, some of our proteins are sourced from overseas. This is often due to the availability of certain species, or to ensure we’re selecting from cleaner waters and less-polluted environments when it comes to our fish. No matter where an ingredient comes from, it’s chosen with care, traceability, and your pet’s health in mind.

By sourcing responsibly, we’re able to create treats that not only taste amazing but also support your pet’s wellbeing.

Only the best for our pets and the planet

Our Packaging Promise

From the start, we knew TucTucs had to be about more than just great treats — every part of our process needed to reflect care for pets and the planet. That’s why all of our bags are made from BPI-certified compostable materials. Unlike “biodegradable” or “eco-friendly” claims you sometimes see, BPI certification means our packaging has been independently tested to safely break down in industrial composting facilities, leaving no harmful residue behind.

By choosing compostable, we’re able to reduce waste and lessen our pawprint on the earth, without ever compromising on the quality of the treats inside. It’s one more way we’re making sure TucTucs is a brand you can trust — for your pet, and for the future we all share.

Supporting Pets, People, and Our Community

Giving Back

Tucker isn’t just the face of our brand — he’s also part of a bigger story. As a service dog in training with Autism Dog Services (ADS), Tucker inspires us every day to give back. ADS creates life-changing partnerships between service dogs and individuals with autism, and we’re proud to support their incredible work.

But our commitment to giving back doesn’t stop there. TucTucs also supports local shelters and rescues through donations, fundraisers, and community events. Whether it’s helping service dog programs, rescuing animals in need, or eco-conscious pet initiatives, we believe in supporting pets, people, and the community in every way we can.
